I down loaded Windows 10
I down loaded this update but my address book is missing
HELP!
Robert
Please see these instructions on importing address books, if that doesn’t help contact Dymo Tech Support – helpdesk@dymo.com
http://www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/news/faq-how-do-i-transfer-my-dymo-address-book-to-my-new-pc-import-export-address-book.html
I’m going in circles on this page. How do I download drivers for Windows 10
Just follow the instructions. Click on the link, go to the drivers tab, download the driver.
I so agree with Mel.
You make it so difficult to find the right link. I’ve downloaded for Windows 7 64bit. But am using Windows 10 64bit. Cannot find the right link and now my labelwriter 400 does not print.
So annoying.
You seem ONLY interested in selling as even the download links go straight to latest offers.
OMG – A small independent shop that provides free advice and downloads to other suppliers customers saying “hey, why not check out our stuff while you’re here”? How terrible of us!
Cannot install 8.5.1 on Windows 10, cannot get tech support, what to do???
Why can’t you install it? Why can’t you get technical support? Have you actually talked to Dymo…? It’s unlikely anyone can help you if you make these statements with no explanations…
Link to win 10 driver does not work.
It works fine when I try it, perhaps a temporary problem.
Dymo 8.5.1 software freezes at startup in windows 10. Please help
Please contact helpdesk@dymo.com for any technical support issues with the driver/software.
updated to windows 10, tried to install my dymo 450 and it will not work, need help please
I’m not sure what answer your expecting to get when all the information you provide is “it doesn’t work”. How doesn’t it work? Does it crash? Do you get an error? Does it freeze? Does it not recognise the printer? At what point does the problem occur? During installation? During start up? During usage? It is every time? Intermittent?
Also, if it’s a problem with the driver then there’s not much we can do. We didn’t write it, we don’t have the code to debug it or recompile it so our options are limited.
So surely the most obvious course of action, rather than leave a vague post on a 3rd party blog, is to contact Dymo technical support directly any issues with the driver/software. If the problem has been seen before then they are the most likely people to have heard about it, and if it’s an actual problem with the driver/software itself they are the only people that are able to fix it. Their contact email again, for those that ignored the answer to the same problem in the previous post, is: helpdesk@dymo.com
I wasn’t aware that this is a 3rd party blog! But I’m also having the problem described above – the program installs, but when you run it, it just hangs while launching.
Something I have noticed is that the splash screen says that it is launching v.8, not v.8.5.1. Does anyone know if the version number on the splash screen is complete and correct? TIA.
I can’t help you with the hanging issue, maybe someone who had the same problem and got it fixed can, but yes on my (Windows 7) installation the splash screen does indeed say V8, but in help/about it is shown as v8.5.1.1816
Fixed! See below.
ok, as everyone seems to be allergic to speaking to Dymo I just talked to them. It’s a known problem. There is a 100% working fix to the freezing problem. I have detailed the solution here:
Windows 10 Freeze fix for Dymo Label Software
Here’s the response from Dymo, which worked for us:
Thank you for contacting DYMO.
Further to the issue you have I would like to say that it might be caused due to a recent Windows update. In this case I am glad to provide you with steps how to avoid it. Please follow them below:
– Close all programs on your computer.
– Go to your Desktop.
– Right click on DYMO Label v. 8 and select Properties.
– Go to Compatibility mode and Run this program in mode for Windows 7.
– Also set the Privilege Level to Run this program as an administrator.
– Click Apply followed by OK.
– Open DYMO Label Software and try to print again.
I believe this will help you. If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me again.
Best regards,

Yes, this is the fix I mentioned above, but thanks for confirming it worked!
There is an important difference between the fix Dymo King posted under his Windows 10 Freeze fix for Dymo Label Software link above, and the fix Zak posted quoting Dymo customer support. That is the step of setting Privilege level to Run as Administrator, which is in Dymo’s fix but not Dymo King’s. That step was necessary for the fix to work for me (Windows 10, Surface 3 Pro).
I just checked, and that step is listed.
I have a labelwriter 330 that has both a serial connection and a usb connection. I can’t seem to get Windows 10 to recognize it. Please tell me I don’t have to fill the landfill with a perfectly good printer!
Thanks,
Bob
Is it on the list of compatible printers at the top of the page…?
Any hope that LabelWriter 440 will be Windows 10 compatible??? I don’t find any reference to this version anymore, this is very unusual, specially from Dymo.
Thanks.
As far as I know there is no such thing in the UK/EU.
I just upgraded to Windows 10 and after that all labels are printing 90 degree rotated. Have tried to change to landscape mode in different places but nothing worked. Hope someone can help to solve this
Use Dymo Label v8.5.1.1816
Yes, I’m sure Dymo technical support could help…
After upgrading to windows 10 my label writer 450 turbo prints, but extremely slow. It sometimes tries to back-up and then labels get stuck. Upgraded to latest drivers. Running Dymo label as administrator and under compatibility mode (tried windows 7 and 8). Nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas?
I’ve not seen that problem before, I suggest contacting Dymo technical support via their website and reporting back if they have a fix.
Tried emailing helpdesk@dymo.com (found earlier in this thread) and have yet to receive a response.
After fiddling around more I found that its only when we print out labels with bar codes does it operate slowly, reverse and jam. Just printing text it operates normally. (we use this printer for Amazon FBA item labeling). Hopefully that provides some clue as to whats wrong or how to fix it.
Any rumours of new LabelWriters? I need to replace a 330 Turbo that isn’t supported on Windows 10, but the 450 line is quite old. I don’t want to buy something that will be replaced with a new product in a few months.
We have visibility of the roadmap of new products and promotions for 2016, and there are no new Labelwriters listed. But we can always hope for 2017/2018…
Thanks for the look into your crystal ball.
For those who may have trouble installing LabelWriters on Windows 10, I just got my 330 Turbo to work!
1. Download the latest Dymo software package (currently 8.5.3)
2. Right click on the downloaded file, and set it to run in compatibility mode with Windows Vista.
3. To install the software, right click on it and Run as Administrator
4. Skip the Dymo Web service or whatever it’s called
5. I opted not to install the QuickBooks add-in
6. Let the install finish completely before you plug in the printer
7. Plug in the printer and turn it on
8. Right click on the Dymo icon on the desktop, and set it to also run in compatibility mode with Windows Vista and as an Administrator
What model number was it?
It was a 330 Turbo, model 90793, which is NOT on the list of supported models. Makes it all the sweeter!
Revision: now it won’t work with whatever driver version is bundled with software version 8.5.3. But it WILL work with driver version 8.3.0.443, which is a 64 bit driver for Windows 7/Vista:
http://download.dymo.com/download%20drivers/Software%20for%20DYMO%20LabelWriter/Downloads/1/LabelWriterDrivers-x64.msi
Another revision: Windows 10 success for older LabelWriters appears to be related to the USB port type. I have a 330 Turbo working on a USB 2.0 port with the latest driver, 8.5.0.542 (U.S. software version 8.5.3). Try using the older driver if you only have a USB 3.0 port that cannot be set into a compatibility mode for USB 2.0 (if such things exist).
Just upgraded to Windows 10 and now the Dymo 400 will not print labels. I have upgraded software to 8.5.3.1897.
The print request appears in the printer dialogue box but nothing is ever printed.
Please contact Dymo technical support for driver issues.
Anybody have trouble with the QuickBooks Add-On for 2016 version after upgrading to Windows 10???
Hello.
After hours of searching on the internet for software for an old Dymo Labelwriter 320, I am very grateful that you have provided a free of charge link to the genuine Dymo software. The software installed easily and now my Dymo is now working again. I am sorry that some people are less than charming in their feedback. Thank you.
